| Welcome to the BAC College of Interior Design's Virtual Materials/Resource
Library. The Physical Materials/Resource Library is located on the fifth
floor of 320 Newbury Street, Boston. Together, these complementary spaces
provide both the information and the tactile examples of the interior
designer's palette. The Virtual Library has limitless information space. This dimension houses otherwise bulky product binders and catalogs. This space also links to

manufacturers' websites and student reports on various products and product
characteristics. The Physical Library, with its limited space, becomes a
showroom for tactile materials, which can be seen in various lighting
conditions and in numerous juxtapositions. The design of the virtual space is not a replica of the physical space nor
is the virtual space a substitution for the tactile environment. Each space
exploits its unique properties, and together they provide a rich center of
learning. |
